Yahoo Inc. invested billions of dollars in its Internet search engine during the past six years before realizing it made more sense to entrust the job to an outsider ? hearkening back to a conclusion the company’s co-founders reached shortly after they started their Web directory in the mid-1990s.
A company controlled by Google?s top executives, including its billionaire founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, appears to have added a new plane to its well-equipped fleet: a fighter jet, or more precisely a Dornier Alpha Jet. According to Wikipedia, the Alpha Jet is a a light attack jet and advanced trainer aircraft manufactured by Dornier of Germany and Dassault-Breguet of France.
A NASA official said Friday that the top Googlers? new fighter jet will be used mostly to fly missions for the agency that four other jets owned by Google?s top executives could not handle.
